Scindia stressed the Indian steel industry’s
pivotal role in implementing AI technologies
Union Minister of Steel and Civil Aviation,
Jyotiraditya Scindia, urged stakeholders within the steel sector to amplify the
integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in their steel plants. Addressing
the Chintan Shivir at Vigyan Bhawan, organised by the Ministry of Steel,
Scindia underscored the event’s purpose: to broaden intellectual insights
applicable across the nation’s developmental spectrum.
Advocating for a continuous
learning environment within the Ministry, Scindia highlighted the need for
ongoing updates in steelmaking practices, aligning with global trends of
data-driven decision-making.
Amidst this transformation, he
stressed the Indian steel industry’s pivotal role in implementing AI
technologies, urging an evolution towards greener practices to safeguard the
environment.
Scindia urged the steel
fraternity to adopt the Prime Minister’s ethos of Reform, Perform, and
Transform, paving the way for a sustainable, green transition.
Minister of State for Steel and
Rural Development, Faggan Singh Kulaste, acknowledged the valuable insights
shared during the sessions on Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and AI.
He emphasized AI’s potential to fortify the steel industry’s value chain,
enhance quality assurance, and optimize energy management.
