India Steel Market Watch
December 11: Imports of ferro alloys via Vizag Port stood at 1,391 tons in November 2015 against 1,705 tons in October, showing a volume-wise month-on-month drop of 18.41%, albeit on a low base, according to provisional data available with ISMW.
Imports of the material in November 2014 were slightly lower at 1,105 tons.
With the November figures, total imports of the commodity in the first eight months (April-November) of the current fiscal of 2015-16 rose 37.46% to 11,962 tons against 8,702 tons recorded in the same period of the previous fiscal.
The entire fiscal of 2014-15 saw total imports of 11,609 tons.

In November, imports consisted of 583 tons of ferro nickel, 799 tons of ferro silicon and 9 tons of ferro niobium. All materials arrived from different countries in varying price bands.
October imports comprised 799 tons of ferro silicon and 906 tons of ferro nickel.
