Despite a depressed market situation, Tata Steel Ltd expects to end the current financial year with total steel production of around 10 million tons or nearly 100% of capacity utilisation.
“We will end the financial year with total production of close to 10 million tons,” Tata Steel Managing Director T V Narendran told reporters in Kolkata.
Tata Steel’s current production capacity is 10 million tons at Jamshedpur and it is setting up another plant at Kalinganagar with 3 mtpa capacity in the first phase in Odisha which is likely to be operational from April 2016.
