Dolomite imports through the port of Paradip were down a sharp 85.39% to 10,150 tons in May 2016 against 69,494 tons in April 2016, as per provisional information available with ISMW.
Year-on-year, imports of the material in the first 2 months (April-May) of the current fiscal (2016-17) were up 12.51% to 79,644 tons against 70,790 tons seen in the same period of the previous fiscal (2015-16).

In May 2016, the entire volume arrived from the UAE at a unit price of Rs 821 ($12).
In April 2016, a volume of 21,760 tons arrived from the UAE at a price range of Rs 754 - Rs 1,089 ($11-16) per ton, 46,450 tons from Thailand at a unit price of Rs 1,091 ($16) while the balance 1,284 tons came in from Vietnam at a price range of Rs 5,203 – 7,536 ($77-111).
