There were no limestone imports via Cochin Port during January 2016, against 551 tons in December 2015, as per provisional information available with ISMW.
Meanwhile, limestone imports through this port during the first ten months (April- January) of 2015-16 were at 18,610 tons, resulting in a marginal rise of 3.04% in comparison to 18,044 tons imported during the same period in 2014-15.
However, limestone was not imported through the port in January 2015.

In December, the entire volume had come in from the UAE at a price range of Rs 7,494-Rs 8,963 ($111-$133) per ton, while in November too the entire quantity had come from the UAE but at a price range of Rs 7,342-Rs 7,438 ($111-$112) per ton.
