After a gap of two month after October 2015, 377 tons of manganese ore was imported via Marmagoa Port in January 2016, as per provisional information available with ISMW.
Incidentally, the material had been imported in October 2015 after a gap of eight months, with volumes at 730 tons.
Meanwhile, iron ore imports via this port stood at 1,107 tons during the first 10 months (April-January) of 2015-16, while 53,983 tons had been imported during the same period in 2014-15.

During January 2016, the entire quantity came in from Tanzania at a price range of Rs 10,214-Rs 14,252 ($152-$208).
During October, the entire quantity came in from South Africa at a unit price of Rs 7,830 ($120).
