MOIL Ltd, India’s leading miner of manganese ore, has cut the price of Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) with effect from January 1.
The company, through a circular on January 1 informed that the price of Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) from the same date has been reduced to Rs 72,807 per ton.
The EMD of MOIL has MnO2 of above 90% and moisture of below 3%
Separately, the company announced up to 10% cut in price of manganese ore for Q4 (January-March) of 2015-16.
The company had last fixed the prices of manganese ore for Q3 (October-December) of 2015-16 on November 2, 2015.
In November, the price of ferro grades of manganese with Mn content of 45% was cut by 15%. The price of manganese with Mn of 42% to 44.99% was cut by 12.5% and all grades below 41.99% Mn was cut by 15%. The company had also cut price of SMGR (Mn 30%) by 5%.
