Despite the fact that China’s economy is weakening, India is not being able to encash on this opportunity essentially because it lags behind in terms of technology, said a source in EEPC India, adding that the country has to be prepared for the global market for which advanced technology is a pre-requisite.
“The export market wants good quality in products and timely shipments,” the source said, adding that EEPC India has submitted a proposal to the government seeking support in the form of a technology upgradation fund.
An exporter said that they require better technology and government support for the same and within an adequate period of time. Because, in this day and age, if there is delay in getting access to a certain technology, the exporters may lose the first-mover advantage.
